Categories / Locations

Each component in the Inventory and every Definition needs to have both a Category and Location.

Factory Superstar defaults to Categories when viewing Inventory etc., but you can filter this to Location instead (useful for stock taking).

You can add whatever Categories or Locations that you need, and drag and drop to re-arrange.

Categories / Locations display 'bought' items, 'made' items, and also Definitions. If you drag a Definition from one Category (or Location) to another, it will only change the Category for the Definition - not for any components which have already been made using that Definition.

To change the category of the Definition and also all components made using that Definition, go to the page for that Definition, click 'edit', change the Category and select 'Should changes be made to all related components?'.
